Hello writers!
Well, our little community is growing, slowly but surely! There are now 188 of us here. If you haven’t had the chance to say hi, feel free to do it in the comments of this post! On this post comments will be open to all. (If you would rather wait and introduce yourself on a private post that only paid and comped subscribers can read, you can do that on Friday.)
And if you know of anyone else who might be interested, please always feel free to share. Here’s a friendly little button:
For this week’s writing prompt, since I’m currently sitting in my sunny home with a warm (but not too warm) spring breeze coming through, I thought we could write about contentment. Write about a time you felt content — cozy, happy, peaceful, sleepy, calm. Maybe it was an emotional contentment, based on circumstances or brain chemicals. Or maybe it was a physical contentment that came to your brain via your body. Describe the moment so that the reader is there with you, almost feeling the sun on their own shoulders, or the crackling of the fireplace, hearing the birds or the crickets or the shuush, shuush, shuush of the traffic on the busy street just outside. If you can’t bring to mind a moment like that, try imagining one. What would it take to make you feel completely at home, safe, comfortable in your body and mind?
See you back here on Friday when we can share what we wrote!
In love and hope,
Jessica
