Hello, writers! I hope you all had a good weekend, with at least a little joy and a little inspiration.
I finally tagged all the writing prompts, and added a tab to the homepage so you can more easily browse them. There are fifteen prompts up so far! You can access that link here, also:

Last week’s poll about our schedule was inconclusive (only one person responded) so I thought I’d gather some data by switching things around for the next couple of weeks. So this week we’re having our feedback post on Monday, and I’ll do another writing prompt on Friday. You can still reply to the poll, and of course leave any feedback you have in the comments.
Today for Feedback Monday (alas, not alliterative) we’re sharing what we wrote in response to Tuesday’s prompt about houses:
But of course you are always welcome to share something from a previous prompt, or something you’re working on on your own.
Here’s a short house-themed freewrite I did to get us started:
I dream of houses, not every night but so frequently that when I enter the dream it feels like coming home in more than one way. Some house dreams are nightmares, I’m living *there* again, or living with people from my past who hurt me, and I can’t remember how I got myself into that situation. But even in those dreams the house itself is good, and my hope for sanity in that bad situation is in making a little nest for myself, a place of safety where no evil thing can enter.
Other house dreams are good, so good, with that rush of joy rarely, if ever, experienced waking. I am in my own home and it is gorgeous, and I wander through the rooms discovering new spaces, new vistas. In a recent dream I discovered a vast, domed courtyard filled with plants and sunshine. In another, a secret room behind my bedroom. Always the joy is in finding more space, more expansiveness so that I can spread out, I and my belongings, and not be limited by structures imposed by others or by life’s circumstances. I can finally expand to my heart’s true size.
I am delighted to discover how large I can be.
Okay, over to you! Here are the guidelines for sharing:
First, Feedback Fridays Mondays, along with the comments, are behind a paywall, to protect you and your work, and support me and my work! But, as always, everyone gets a free month’s upgrade when you subscribe, and if you need more please feel free to ask.
